About Us
QuéPasa is the oldest and most established Spanish-language newspaper in NC. Acción Hispana / QuéPasa is led by and staffed by first-generation immigrants from a variety of Spanish-speaking counties.
Our duty
What we do
At Acción Hispana/Qué Pasa, we believe that trusted, culturally relevant information is essential for building stronger, healthier communities.
Our weekly newspaper and digital platforms are the primary tools we use to fulfill our mission: informing, empowering, and connecting the Spanish-speaking community in North Carolina.
Founded in 1994, Qué Pasa is the state’s oldest and most widely distributed Spanish-language newspaper. Today, we publish three weekly print editions and reach over 1 million people annually through our website and social media.
Our team is composed entirely of first-generation immigrants from diverse Spanish-speaking countries. This shared experience allows us to understand, represent, and respond to the real needs of our audience with empathy and authenticity.
We are deeply aware of the disparities affecting immigrant and minority communities. Through accurate reporting, accessible information, and community-centered communication, we work daily to close those gaps and strengthen trust.
